Come along to House of Glazed's first ever Craft Social Night - a 3 hour pottery painting session set up for you to meet new people! 

Once you arrive, you'll be able to grab a welcome drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options). Instead of picking a pottery piece from one of our shelves, you'll head to a table full of wrapped, mystery pottery pieces and this is what you'll be painting! 

We'll be setting the studio up so we can all sit together so wecwn the evening painting, drinking and getting to know one another!

Please note: cost of booking is studio fee and includes use of all glazes and firing, and \*does not \*include cost of the ceramic piece(s) you will be painting. Only participating painters pay a studio fee - add a £0 Non-painter ticket to make sure we have enough room for your whole group.

This summer we are offering two types of workshops for children; a guided painting pottery painting session and an acylic paints plant pot workshop that will allow your young painter to take their piece home the same day! 

**“My Favourites” Pottery Painting (Fired pieces) -** A guided pottery painting session with snacks and everything a young painter would need to paint a "My Favourites" mug, side plate or section plate. Pieces will be ready to collect in 1 week.

**Plant Pot - Acrylic Paints Workshop -** Paint and take home the same day a plant pot with acrylic paints and varnish it yourself! Price includes 2 hour session, plant pot, snacks and a plant for your pot!

Was a lovely environment for my first poetry painting experience. Calming atmosphere, plenty of open space. The owners were on hand to help with advice and technique. Had a wide variety of choices to paint and plenty of colour, complete with a colour chart on the wall (and on the table the second time I went in). 
The owners were very friendly and for mother's day they gave my nan a little present 🥰 
My friend and I didn't finish our piece, and they were happy to keep the piece before firing (was over a month in the end due to illness and life commitments!). 
They have a little fridge of cold drinks to purchase and are more than happy for you to bring in food and drinks, people the second time brought McDonalds breakfast (genius!) 
Over all great experiences and I'm looking forward to picking up my piece (about a week turn around) and booking in another session!

Deeply Disappointed by the Way We Were Treated

I visited the studio with two friends for what should’ve been a lovely evening pottery painting. We each paid the £8 booking fee, and I personally paid for my piece in full (£10.99) before leaving. My friends only had cash, and since the venue is card-only, a staff member clearly stated they could pay upon collection after firing. This was agreed at the time and noted down.

Instead of reaching out privately, the owner To our shock, just hours later, the business owner publicly posted a photo on Instagram implying our group had left without paying — accusing us of “stealing from a small business.” I sent them a message directly to address the situation which was met with nothing but accusations, they took no accountability for how things were handled or for the internal miscommunication, and then went on to ban our entire group — including me, despite having paid in full and acting respectfully the entire time.

I’ve been a loyal customer in the past and have always enjoyed my visits here, which makes this experience especially upsetting. There was absolutely no reason for this to escalate so publicly and aggressively — and I certainly won’t be returning after this.
